Dugglebum

Today has been so much fun. I volunteered to drive some of Austin's classmates to the library for a field trip. It was fun to see the kids get excited to see so many wonderful books. They could hardly wait to go check them out. A librarian was there to read them a few books on fire safety. The kids would shout, "Stop, drop and roll." They were so cute. Then she taught them all a song to get some of the jitters out from sitting so long. (I will get to the song later.) As we went to leave one little girl had an arm full of books to take home. Ms. Bailey told her she didn't have a library card so she would have to leave the books and get some next time. Her innocent eyes started welling up with tears, her tiny mouth started to quiver and she slowly handed the books to her teacher. As soon as I saw that face and a tear stream down her face, I offered to check out the books for her. I couldn't bare to see her face anymore. She was so happy after she got her books checked out. Anyway, the kids were so much fun.
Later that evening I took Austin and Luke to the school Halloween fair all dressed up. They were so darling. I will post photos later. Then after too much cotton candy, 7-up, a slice of pepperoni pizza and 4 dollars worth of games, we headed for home. I was trying to get the kids settled in for bed and decided to sing the song Austin had learned at school. So Austin and I stood up, rolled our arms and made munching signs with our hands to sing the song which goes, "Bubblegum, bubblegum, chewy, chewy, chewy, chewy, bubblegum, bubblegum.................I love it, I love it, chewy, chewy, chewy, chewy bubblegum." And then we go faster and faster. After we sang Luke wanted to sing so Austin and I sat down on the bed and watched Luke try to roll his arms as he sang, "Dugglebum, duglebum, chewy, chewy, chewy, dugglebum," and then he would jump on the bed. Austin and I were in hysterics laughing. Luke realized he was so funny and kept singing, "Dugglebum," and would jump on the bed. We laughed and laughed. I have the funnest boys.---I am hoping this isn't one of those---you had to be there---moments. It really was so cute. Anyway, it is late and Austin is asleep and Luke is nearly there.

That is so cute. I love when little kids don't pronounce things right. I find myself laughing at stuff like that all the time. Both LUke and Austin are darling! Can't wait to see your Halloween pictures
