School's Out

The tree in our front yard. Our bushes and the grass. You can still see the grass.

I can hardly believe that school has been cancelled due to adverse weather......are they crazy. There is about 1, maybe 2 inches of snow on the ground. I remember living in Rexburg, Idaho when it use to snow for days straight, with snow drifts over 10 feeet and still having to go to school. Niki and I use to ride the Flexible Flyer 3 ice sleds to school in the morning, the roads were solid ice. It was all down hill from our houses. It was easier to sled rather than driving and slidding down in a car(the good 'ol blue Pinto with Amber at the wheel, with ice still on the window:). Anyway, I am in histarics that school is cancelled due to bad weather. See the photos? This is nothing. Austin and Luke aren't complaining and are still up watching, Indiana Jones (Indy Bones-as Luke calls it.) Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

When I was living in No. Virginia, I was always in awe when they cancelled school. There would be just a dust of snow on the ground and what do you know, they cancelled school. In Utah snow was almost taller then me and they still didn't cancel classes.

Isn't that funny how different it is from here where it's just expected of you to get to school no matter how much snow it seems like. I love that little Luke by the way!
