A Few Firsts

So, we have a new addition to the family-or I should say our house. Our first (and hopefully only) stuffed animal that Nate brought home last week and there it sits. I am now motivated to get into a bigger home so Nate can have his own room with all his stuffed animals.

Nate surprised me with this birthday cake for my 32nd birthday. This is the first time he got me a cake on my birthday. It was awesome!! The best cake I have ever tasted.
We had my nephew and 5 of his basketball teammates and my brother Jared stay at our house for over a week. They were so awesome to play with my boys and not get too bugged by all their questions and games. This is the first time we have hosted a team.

Luke wanted to actually play basketball with Austin. He usually lets Austin go play by himself but he decided he wanted to go play and he even dribbled with his head up, not looking at the basketball. Taking after older brother.

Alyssa's first ponytail. We haven't tried till now and it actually worked with those tiny bands. Austin didn't like it so he pulled it out whe I wasn't looking. He told me he likes her hair in the headbands with a flower better. Who knew he even cared. :)

Our first surviving plant. We planted 12 sunflower seeds the end of May in an egg carton for Luke to take to school. When they got too big for the carton, we planted them outside on the side of our house and it has been so much fun to watch them grow. Luke is thrilled that they are doing so well. We just love them and are excited to harvest the sunflower seeds.

i feel your pain about the elk. Ev just got(shot) a bear last week. What the heck am I supposed to do with a bear. I'm sure as heck not going to eat it. For some reason these animals just don't fit in my taste of decor. The garage would be a nice idea...that's what I'm going for. take care chica
